Laura is an arts organizer, theatre artist and educator who facilitates opportunities for cultural expression and social change. After nearly a decade teaching in New York City public schools, she returned to St. Paul to become the Assistant Director of Making Waves: Social Justice Theatre Troupe at Hamline University. She has performed, written and directed plays locally and worked with various organizations including Language Attitude Institute, Art to Change the World, Lakeshore Players, and Youth Performance Company. She teaches Theatre and Dance at Whittier International Elementary school, while also teaching and performing with Speaking Out Collective and serving on the Million Artist Movement administrative team. She received her Bachelor's Degree in English from Hamline University and Master's Degree in Teaching Secondary School from Pace University.
