The NE YMCA serves at-risk youth in a variety of capacities. The YMCA is joining in a partnership with ACW to create a Maker Space (art room) and deliver specialy designed lessons once a week. The YMCA is commissioning works from the ACW Artists. All are focused on hope and positive healing from trauma. These works could be hung in the Makers Space and awared as an incentive for attending the Makers Space Events. This installation will show off the skill sets of the teachers, build community between the artists and the clients, put originals works in the hands of your population and meet the ACW mission of paying artists for their work.
Creation of the Maker’s Space will start in September. Classes will start in October 2022. Tuesday nights from 5:00-7:00
