“I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of time and especially the concept of Now. I created this piece as a way of visualizing time. The tree symbolizes the future and the roots symbolize the past. The piece has a small space on the trunk which is symbolizing Now. The found objects and collage in the letterpress cabinet conveys memories which we are always trying to capture and retain in some form. My hope is this piece can be a conversation starter about how we live our lives, always focused on both the future and the past and how easy it is to forget about NOW.”
