General Updates:

Project Updates: 

  • Social Media Plans   Show Website   Scorpio
    • Video chatted with Bianca – video channel for youtube
      • Bianca will do a photoshoot with Devin > then documentary about who Bianca is (create trust)
      • Support Bianca in creating a channel, schedule, content content etc. 
      • Finished creating Lynnette’s video — will add to Barbara/Layl so that we can build trust with community 
        • Scorpio will be reaching out to other members to add to Tiktok
        • Action: Candy will send a clip of Barbara (photoshoot?) to Scorpio for content 
    • Remember to take part in the social media schedule! Watch for Scorpios reminders! 
  • Coaching Project/ Grant Writing and Intern News –Abby
  • SWAP Project Plans  – Scorpio and Martje
    • Creating a document where folks can look at the structure
    • Just received list of members who need to be reminded about who needs to add/buy
      • Action: Scorpio to email reminders out tomorrow! (send to Barbara first)
    • SWAP Kids
      • Ex: Layl showing how to make small pieces of art – use those kinds of media as a way to market the project 
      • Putting a list of possible people together
      • Action: Scorpio create a 1 page bulleted plan for this project and share with Barbara *then create follow up meeting
  • ICON – I Can Overcome Negativity
    • Targeting women overcoming domestic violence 
    • Boxes that with pieces that provide hope to these women 
      • Ex: Barbara’s cuffs, compact mirrors etc. candles 
      • Hoping to make 10 boxes 
      • Something soft…
      • Anyone willing – contact Bianca 
    • Layl – working to find a council on working with domestic abuse survivors 
      • Action: Reach out to Layl 
    • Action (all): Reach out to Bianca if you have ideas/something to contribute 
      • Action Natalie: if my dragon flies photos works for you I’m willing to donate 5-10 images with a positive quote on the back of my image.

ADP – Still to Do:

  • Overview Show ADP Website – Barbara
    • Budget update: balance $470
    • Disappointed that we weren’t able to have 18 spots..can only have 9 on a side (all sold)  – bag is at the printer
    • Question: Thought ADP raised 7,100?
      • Answer: webpage is updated as of 3/13/21
      • ACW should break even
      • Action: Barbara send Judy copy of budget and expense report 
  • Porcelain bud vase project  Swag Bag  From ACW- Lynnette
    • Going to add medallions to make ACW vases (Layl)
    • Candy – has fake flower pins. Want it to be ACW themed
    • Any ACW swag we could add? Each on ADP divide up and glitz up — we could get together and do this! 
  • Overview of Canvassing Committee – Judy or Lucy
    • New folks interested – some at the Hub
    • Natalie offered to help stuff bags
    • KFAI – doing a pledge drive right now — but Judy has communications out to see what ads will cost/look like etc. 
  • Overview of Artists Committee – Layl
    • Layl asking artists if they want to put a coupon into the page — and swag
    • All ACW members are welcome to put something with value into the page – you may 
  • Overview of PUPP Committee– Catherine and Susan.
    • Great meeting with Alison Price – very excited about project
    • Catherine made layout for Ciderworx location/tables/stage etc. 
      • Also made a contract for the musical artists
    • Heard back from musical artists via social media post
    • Natalie/Catherine: make a contract for the artists at the event -?
      • They will talk about this on next week’s call (3/20/21)
    • 3/20/21 — full artist meet and greet 
      • Probably 4PM
      • Bring sample tables/set ups etc. to the meeting 
      • Bring questions!

  • ArtAWorld: May 14-16th
    • WARM space offered to ACW – for full week
    • Long hallway – long and narrow, possibly 20 works?
    • Lucy interested – can meet with Jodi to see
    • ACW (interns) could share space with Lucy? – or General call
    • Action: Lucy point person on this project – decide how to use the space
      • Lucy let ACW know for the next newsletter whether it’s a CALL or share with interns
