699 Rules of Use

Put Key back in Lock Box on entering.  Do not bring key upstairs.  You have to re-enter the code again to lock the box.

Air Conditioner.  Do not try to program it.  Just turn it off and on with the one button. Please close doors to spaces you are not using.  Air conditioner is expensive to run!  Turn off Air Conditioner before you leave. Air Conditioner is set on 70.  Just turn it on or off. See instructions on wall on the right as you go to middle room.

Check BOTH back and front doors to make sure they are locked on exit.

Take all your trash out to Howard St.  You have to get the key to recycle dumpster from Josh in the the shop.   Remove all trash before you leave.

Scheduling is first-come first-served and approved by the Scheduling Coordinator. MUST be canceled at least 48 hours in advance.  No show, no cancel, no return to rent  699 Lowry Ave NE.   Online calendar will track the space. Internet: Need to bring your own computer . High Speed Internet provided.  See access codes by door in middle room.

Basics: No illegal drugs, no underage drinking, no smoking or vaping, animals OK but must be controlled, children OK but should be involved in an activity or have a planned activity while in residence.

General Courtesies:

Visit the space and be aware of what is provided and what you will need to bring.

If you did not buy the food and beverages in the refrigerator or cupboard – do not consume them. 

Leave things as you found them, or cleaner. Cleaning and use instructions will be posted in the appropriate areas.  Please carry your garbage out to the Dumpster on Howard St.

Bring consumables and expendables to cover what you have used (paper towels, beverages, snacks).

Give permission when you can engage and be respectful in asking and giving. [Headphones?] Permanent occupants should have a  “In Session” or “Do not disturb” sign if they need privacy. Other users of space should be respectful.

Books for art & social/environmental justice Reference Library on the green bookshelf. Available in the space. Any books provided for the shelf should be tagged (such as with an address label) in case the lender wants to take it back at some point. The Free ACW Little Library on black bookshelf is the place to swap books.  Leave one take one!

Miscellaneous:   Neither party shall be bound by any representations or statements made by the other unless such party is specifically authorized by the other to make such statements or representations.

Space is not ADA accessible so we should not hold open-to-general-public events here or any event where a known participant would be denied access. Layl has agreed that meetings can be held in the hub or her studio if we have an attendee that needs access.
