It was in 2010 that I embarked on a series of paintings to portray and study chandeliers.

Eventually, the series expanded to candlesticks and lanterns.

I was fascinated at how chandeliers could have all that weight suspended in midair.

I also admired the light that they provided in combination with their beauty.
